Rezept Ofenglück aus dem Wintergarten

Convection oven from the winter garden

This warming oven dish combines winter vegetables with aromatic herbs into a nourishing, grounding meal. The natural sweetness of the sweet potato harmonizes wonderfully with the slightly bitter Brussels sprouts and makes the dish particularly easy to digest in the cold season. Baking in the oven creates warmth and depth – ideal for strengthening body and mind in winter.

Effect on the three constitutions

Lung (Wind)

Warming, grounding and calming. Sweet potato and oven roasting have a stabilizing effect in cold and restlessness.
Tip: Add a little more olive oil or warm hummus.

Tripa (Bile)

Mildly balancing with restrained seasoning. Bitter substances from the Brussels sprouts help regulate heat.
Tip: Use herbs moderately, season rather fresh than spicy.

Beken (Phlegm)

Activating and digestion-promoting. Brussels sprouts and herbs work against heaviness and sluggishness.
Tip: Choose light protein such as baked tofu, use oil sparingly.
