Buckwheat Pancakes with Chocolate Cream & Fruit

These delicate buckwheat pancakes with creamy chocolate filling and fresh fruit are a comforting and nourishing dish – ideal for breakfast or as a healthy treat in between meals. Gluten-free, plant-based, and naturally sweetened, they bring balance and enjoyment together.

Effect on the Tibetan constitution types:

  1. Lung (Wind principle – movement, nervous system, creativity):
People with a pronounced Lung constitution benefit particularly from the nourishing and grounding effect of this recipe. The use of warm, slightly oily ingredients such as coconut oil and almond butter has a calming effect on the often-nervous Lung system. The soft texture of the pancakes and the warm serving method additionally support the digestive fire, which is often weakened in Lung types.

  2. Tripa (Fire principle – metabolism, energy, purposefulness):
For Tripa types, who are naturally hot and fiery, this dish brings gentle cooling through coconut milk, agave syrup, and fruit. The mild almond-based chocolate cream harmonizes without igniting additional fire. It is ideal to use sour or highly heating fruits (such as citrus fruits or mango) sparingly and instead opt for berries or pears.

  3. Beken (Earth-Water principle – stability, structure, composure):
Beken types usually have sluggish digestion and benefit from light, stimulating foods. Here, the portion should not be too large, and the pancakes should ideally be combined with stimulating fruits (such as pineapple or berries). An additional touch of cinnamon or ginger in the chocolate cream can also help make the dish easier to digest and invigorating for Beken.

Ingredients (for 4 servings):

Pancake batter:

  • 3 organic free-range eggs or vegan substitute

  3. For the chocolate cream, mix all the ingredients together to form a smooth cream.
  4. Spread it over the still warm pancakes and serve garnished with fruit.
